They paved our way - as entrepreneurs, activists, creatives, and women.
Seriously, I could’ve listed off about 100 more influential women, but alas Instagram only allows 10 slides.
I encourage you to do deeper research into the lives of all of these women, but particularly the ones you haven’t heard of.
Keep their stories alive, celebrate them, emulate them, lift up their words.
Women’s history month, much live Black History Month should be all year long. There is so much out there that is untouched or rarely touched.

I did that thing that everyone says not to do....
In fact, I do quite a lot of those things.
And I'll continue doing them, because failure is just learning.
Forgetting to do something simply means ya need some rest.
And the best thing you can do is give yourself a break and some grace.
Two weeks ago, I posted a video on Youtube and I completely forgot to promote it on the feed.
I could have let that stop me.
I could've decided that my consistency was ruined and stayed there.
I could've shamed myself.
Instead, I know I'm promoting when I need to, when it suits my schedule.
That's a round about way of saying-hi there's a new Youtube up 😝.
Teachers this one is for you!
🌟Strive for retention instead of student numbers to have a sustainable teaching career.
Check out this video for my top three tips to get your students to stick around and stay engaged! #linkinbio
Oh and hey, keep going ok? The rules are more like guidelines anyway....

STOP trying to specialize in someone else...specialize in you.
It’s a little like telling yourself to relax, when you tell yourself not to compare or to be jealous or to doubt...
We spend a lot of time on the internet emulating others.
We spend more time in a voice room learning how to sound correct.
And then we see that ‘exception.’ That person who broke the mold. That overnight success. That person who doesn’t have to ‘try.’
And we push ourselves to do what they can do, all with a mindful (and maybe a mouthful, too) of rage that it came ‘naturally’ to them.
That they’re a better writer, or designer, or singer, or mother, or wife, or whatever...
But, what if instead of specializing in someone else’s gifts? We spent time specializing in our own?
It sounds so easy, but why is it so hard?
Because trust is hard, falling in love with yourself is hard, believing in yourself is hard.
But...someone out there is looking at you the same way you’re looking at all those other people. Someone out there wishes for your voice and your designs and your writing and your capabilities. Someone out there is desperately trying to master a skill you’re naturally good at-even if you don’t know it.
So, instead of giving up and talking prey to comparison-itis, maybe specialize in you. Cultivate every unique skill you have.
How do you do it differently than others in your circle?
How do you share it differently than others in your circle?
And lastly, is it something that you WANT to be good at or something that you ‘should’ be good at?
Specialize in you.
Unleash you.
Speak you.
Release you.
Ready to be vulnerable? Share this post with your circle. Let’s find our unique specializations *together.*
👀👀👀A schedule announcement? Like the before times? Who dis?
I’ve been singing Clubhouse praises for weeks in my stories, but it hasn’t graced my feed yet.
Figured it was about time it did.
But lemme come at this from a business angle really quick before y’all start rolling your eyes and thinking it’s just ANOTHER thing to add to your schedule.
#realtalk don’t get on Clubhouse unless....
1️⃣ Speaking and using your voice is one of your strengths.
2️⃣ Your ideal client is there and you can get them into your rooms.
3️⃣You’re ready to be in the room where it happens for networking purposes OR to uplevel your business.
The thing about clubhouse is that you’re gonna have to be vulnerable and authentic because you can’t hide behind pretty graphics or edited videos. It’s just the power of your voice to move a room.
Ready to explore?
I’ll give you a personal walk about (as my daddy would say)! Just comment below and I’ll be in touch!
ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!!
Here are some quotes from my studio the last couple weeks:
‘It’s like when I do it right it feels easy!’
‘I practiced so hard this week’ (and their lesson was AHMAZING!)
‘I already feel your tips working!’
This recital we’ve got a couple long time students performing for the FIRST time!
And this is gonna be a small recital cuz guess what? We do one recital a quarter, so students have plenty of chances to perform.
I’m seriously blessed with the talent and work ethic of my students and can’t wait to cry about how good they are this Saturday.

Why sharing your own story online is a non-negotiable.
There's someone you follow who stops your scroll every single time. Not because they're beautiful or because it's a stellar graphic, but because of their story.
You know each time you're going to get a part of them. They're gong to be vulnerable with you.
You feel like they're your best friend. That you could pop into their DMs and talk to them for days. And sometimes you might even say to yourself 'I can do that!'
But yet you don't.
You're paralyzed by the idea of sharing your story...correctly.
By not sharing you're giving your power away.
You're allowing others to control the narrative.
Let's take our own power back and stand in our truths.
Who tells your story?
Who controls the narrative?
I think you already know the answer. It's locked right there inside you behind the perfectionism, the fear, the self doubt, the limiting beliefs...
You. Tell. Your. Story.
In your way.
In your own time.
Why should you tell your story?
People connect with people.
People buy from people they know, like, and trust.
One of the quickest ways to get others to engage is through story telling.
Share because your voice matters.
Your voice-visual, singing, speaking-is your most powerful asset.
Your story, told in your voice, can move mountains and minds.
You never know who is listening and watching.
Have you done enough?
You ALWAYS have SOMETHING to share.
And that's the brilliance of story telling. Even if you feel like your story isn't enough, someone is going to see themselves in it.
How do you tell you story online EFFECTIVELY in a way your audience can consume?
Video. Video. Video.
Authentic visual voice. (aka branding)
Great captions.
Intuitiveness and curiosity towards your audience.
Will they tell your story?
Only if you do first.
Sound off in those comments if you're catching the musical hints! 😉🎶
Popular Opinion: You are so enough.🔥
More popular opinions:
✨You are your superpower.✨
✨You are powerful.✨
✨You have a voice and a platform.✨
Ok ok. I know. You're reading these, but the better question is...
🚨Are you believing them, unconditionally?
It's easy to scroll and get hyped up by the positivity around you.
It's also easy to scroll through those same pages and start doom scrolling, getting comparisonitis, feeling overwhelmed, and believing the exact opposite of those popular opinions about yourself.
It's easy to believe them on the surface, it's easier to roll our eyes.
And that's exactly why MANY personal brands fail or simply do not exist.
Newsflash: The most important part of a brand is YOU. YOURSELF.
It's not complicated, it's not a conspiracy. It truly is that simple.
If you cringe giving yourself a compliment...
If you beat yourself up for that one little quirk or not being perfect...
If you can't allow yourself to show up in authenticity and integrity to share your ideas...
Your personal brand will not
✔️Feel good
✔️Fit like a glove
✔️Live without you
You are the essence of your brand.
🚨People buy from people. 🚨
Why?
Because
We crave connection.
We crave authenticity.
We crave stories.
So, before you build a personal brand, ask yourself:
❓Do I love myself?
❓Can I show up as me?
❓Do I believe that I am enough?
Building out a brand can absolutely feel scammy, but that's because you don't accept yourself.
So, before you turn away, turn in-do that work to learn to love your whole self and believe without a shadow of a doubt that you are SO enough it hurts.
